Cuando vino el alambre, vino el hambre (when the fences came, hunger came) will be offered as Session 4 of the learning in retirement series on immigration. The talk will examine the border wall/fence’s impact upon daily legal border crossings by the people who pick our green chile. The program ($5) will be from 10:00am to noon. This series of 4 lectures is presented by Dr. Spencer Herrera and Dr. Gabriela Moreno (both Associate Professors, Dept of Languages and Linguistics, NMSU) and Dr. Carlos Posadas, Associate Professor, Dept of Criminal Justice, NMSU. All sessions are in the auditorium of Good Sam, 3011 Buena Vida Circle.
