The “Low” Impact of Immigration on Crime will be offered as Session 1 of the learning in retirement series on immigration.  Recent studies demonstrate low crime rates in cities such as El Paso that receive large numbers of immigrants.  The program ($5) will be from 10:00am to noon.  This series of 4 lectures is presented by Dr. Spencer Herrera and Dr. Gabriela Moreno (both Associate Professors, Dept of Languages and Linguistics, NMSU) and Dr. Carlos Posadas, Associate Professor, Dept of Criminal Justice, NMSU.  All sessions are in the auditorium of Good Sam, 3011 Buena Vida Circle.
