The Issue

The Children’s Reading Foundation of Doña Ana County is a community-driven, county-wide movement to improve early childhood literacy so that every child learns to read early and well. It is well known that reading proficiency in early grades influences later achievement (including high school graduation).

We would like to increase awareness about this program. An enthusiastic turnout at the kick-off event on May 13 will show that there is strong community support for this important effort.
