Support the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act

The Issue
New Mexicans were used as experimental subjects for the Trinity Atomic test and we also were downwind of the 928 nuclear tests conducted in Nevada. Our people, our animals both domestic and wild, our food crops and natural vegetation were exposed to toxic, long-lasting radiation, however no Downwinders from New Mexico have ever received any compassionate payment or have been provided health care coverage.
What we are asking
Please call or email Congressional Representative Yvette Herrell and ask her to ‘actively’ support H.R. 5338/S.2798, the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) Extension and Amendments. Tell her to contact her colleagues, Jim Jordan, and Freedom Caucus members and ask them to become bill sponsors.
